Wish considers the tender space between longing and becoming. Soft veils of blush, violet, green and blue gather around a luminous center, while darker gestures give the composition weight and direction. The forms feel suspended between emergence and dissolution, something briefly taking shape before changing again. There is an optimism in the painting, but not certainty. Wish is less about the promise of receiving what we hoped for than the act of hoping itself: allowing ourselves to imagine something beyond what already exists.
