Composure explores the tension between pressure and release. A concentrated band of color and gesture stretches across an otherwise quiet field, gathering moments of friction, interruption, and movement without overwhelming the space around it. The painting considers composure not as perfect stillness, but as the ability to hold opposing forces at once, to remain open and expansive while something more complicated unfolds beneath the surface.
