Surrender explores the tension between control and release. Layers of translucent color, obscured gestures, and more assertive marks accumulate across the surface, allowing earlier decisions to remain partially visible. The painting embraces uncertainty as part of the process, letting one movement give way to another until the composition finds its own resolution.
