There is a certain freedom in allowing things to remain unresolved. In Much Needed Levity, loose gestures and delicate traces of color drift across an expansive, atmospheric field, finding moments of connection without becoming fixed or defined.
Soft washes of blue-gray, warm yellow, and blush create a sense of weightlessness, while darker, more deliberate marks offer just enough tension to keep the composition grounded. Forms appear and dissolve, suggesting movement, fleeting encounters, and the quiet beauty of impermanence.
The painting is an exploration of lightness, not as an absence of complexity, but as a welcome release from it. A reminder that not everything needs to be understood, contained, or carried so heavily.
