Exhibition: Orville Hanchey Gallery, NSULA, Natchitoches, LA, September 11-October 9, 2026

Created specifically for the theme of the NSULA “High Summer” juried art competition, “Sirocco” uses color to convey the emotional experience of summer. Meaning desert wind, the painting blisters with heat and abrasion with oppressive forms as if seen in a mirage. This piece was selected by juror David Holcomb, along with its companion piece “Heatwave”.

Will be available upon conclusion of current exhibition.
